Safe Return: one tap to bring someone home.
A program for police departments, cities and sponsors. Families of people who might wander get a free tag. When someone is found, anyone, including an officer, taps it and reaches the family.
How it would work
Families sign up
Promoted through police community programs, seniors’ centres and partner groups.
They pick up a tag
At a station, seniors’ centre or partner pharmacy, and set it up in a few minutes.
Someone is found
The finder or officer taps the tag and calls the family. No database lookup needed.
Someone is missing
The family turns on Lost Mode and prints a poster with photo and description.
Quarterly report
Sign-ups and tap totals only. No personal details shared.
Privacy first
No tracking, no batteries. Families choose what’s shown.
Easy to start
A small free pilot, then the program or a local sponsor funds more tags.
Proven model abroad
Similar tap-tag programs are run by police and councils in the UK.
